Tragedy and Happiness

Tragedy and Happiness

A Poem by Lily M. Noithe
"

The second religious poem 2007/2008. I really wonder what the heck I was thinking when I wrote this. Wish I knew...

"
Tragedy happens,
tragedy comes.
What will it amount?
What will it sum?

Were was once the happiness,
there the tragedy partook-
faith is now less,
taken by a hell-full crook.

O, Death, how it brings one low!
The consequences of life to reap,
many of things one did sow;
the bad shall make you weep.
But the good leaving him pacing to and fro,
searching to denounce.
The Evil once chosen to execute,
to make sure Hell is the place to suit.

But, Glory, how sweet,
the jubilation of being saved!
So neat,
the threat of Hell braved,
and the Devil being beat!
A place of eternal rest,
of no hatred,
not one to detest!

We should try for perfection,
because our eternal fates are at stake,
and every one of us can make a correction,
from every one mistake.
Trust him in times of depressions, and in times of progression-
so tragedy and happiness
can equally weigh.

If you follow the Lord,
your happiness will there there
through and through!
But if you stray,
for your mistakes
you will certainly pay.
But it is simple-
the answer is to pray!
