Villain

Villain

A Poem by Lisa

Villain

How did you embrace me in your shadow?

Causing this temper to rage

Starting this fire to spread out of control

I was burning all of their bridges

Breaking their mold

With the belongings of the riches

That were once owned

So I could call them my own

I watched them bleed in desperate needs

Creating their paths in tears

I stole their stones

Did I find myself in their falter?

Villain

How do you become faceless?

In the outskirts of their crowd

Hide in your barren field

They were looking like I had no soul

Distant in their approval of where I once was loved

Villain

How do you dim the pain

It was shone and caste upon my face

Illuminating my broken heart

The pieces scattered where I once remained

Villain

How do you give mercy to your soul?
