~harps and fields of green

~harps and fields of green

A Poem by Katherine Wyatt

Such a reverie, clothed in a gilded coat of arms,

playing harps that reached

across veils of time and smiling charms,....

....softer than the moon.....

I walked between two worlds,

eyes closed as spirit spoke

.. stepping through chords of dusk in sapphire cloaked

.. easy as the morning dew

,,Walking through dusky smoke

.. no path has yet revealed

.. if my realities are all I believe

... if what stands in front of me matches what I feel

...Yet it is worth it all to walk in dawn’s new light

 tasting bliss once again

in downy softness such as this

..  heartbeat lulls me on

basking in a kiss

.. where angels once had wings.

    shoulders bare and bleeding,

 healing, surging me

....  on to greater things

..   It is here

.... between the veils I find myself again

..  breathing deep, slow and even

..  in the ecstatic crimson bloodlight of evening....

..    Another life unfolds...

...  as I breath, not cerulean,

yet, instead my eyes are filled

..  with images of greens and gold

....softer than the rain

.... exhaling with wounded angels

...I walk between worlds and veils

.....dust devils beneath my feet

,, I feel alive

   ....once again

I am the song the trees whisper in the wind. I am the strength of the mighty mountains. I am the song of the birds in the morn. I am always being reborn. I am a traveler in and out of space and time... more..
