Champagne Dreams

Champagne Dreams

A Poem by E. Stevens
"

A poem about one way someone can fall into oblivion.

"
Champagne Dreams

She had eyes
Like a heartbroken song
Beautiful
Enchanting
But shattered.

Twisted by the whispers of memories passed
And drowned
Somewhere amongst
The rising champagne bubbles
And colors
So loud
They silenced the Light.

The absence of Light
Is darkness.

She has eyes
Like shimmering pools
Catching the fragmented pieces of light
In a vast
Empty
Sky.

I would really appreciate commentary on this, whether it be compliments or criticisms! I know what I'm going for in a sense, but I'm pretty sure it could use some cleaning up.
