Under Her Spell

Under Her Spell

Can you really tell
When you are under
a witches spell
Are these women human
or something straight from hell

Pure evil they can be
If they have a hate on for thee
In the shadows they stay unseen
Brutal fierce and unbelievably mean
If she has her eye on you
There's not much you can do

A spell here and then a potion
Your life is over if they take the notion
Dark as the black gates of hell
Your very soul she will try to sell
You hang on tight for your dear life
Your in serious trouble if she's already your wife

Is she a witch
you can never tell
Is there a way to break the spell
In her book your afraid to look
Afraid your very soul she already took

Burn the book you say
I can break the spell in this way
But if my soul is in this book
I'm sure my soul she already took
Will this set me totally free
Are you sure
You wouldn't lie to me

With shaking hands I take a look
You won't believe the frightening
things I see in this book
Pure evil in the dark pages
of rhyme I sadly see
The souls of quite a few lay
within these pages
so helpless they be

Laugh if you must
My greatest fear has come true
Your soul is in here too

Humor with a bit of truth in the mixture of the witches brew I fear. I already look forward to opening your words. Never quite sure what I will find within, and yet I know, what ever I find,is well worth the time I stay. Truthfully I always wish for more time to read your work and you never know before
the night is over, I may be back. Am I under some sort of spell ya think? Guess at least I am in the right month for it and what better poets page to find myself
bewithed within?

Blessings my friend,
Lesa

rofl!! I'm falling about laughing here after reading all the previous comments!

Wow Ray, I'm very impressed with this. The presentation, background music.....so delightfully
evil and dark! Loved it!

I've been known to concocte some mean potions in the witching hour, chant spells in the dead of night
under a full moon...NO! Just kidding!

Pen on poet.....love your poetry, its so entertaining!

Where did you meet my ex-wife? Whatever you do, don't let her drive your hot rod! A good one, Ray. One of your best, I'd say.
