BlindSide

BlindSide

A Poem by Not Afraid of Bruises
"

I feel a pattern forming here....

"

I didn't want to tell you,

but the truth is,

I'm a bad driver

literally and figuratively

I can't drive for s**t.

I didn't want to scare you away,

from me.

Because I can't hold on to the wheel when

it's turning

outside of my control.

And I guess that you knew that

I guess you got the idea

when I ran away from you.

Now that the gap is wider and the storm

has reached a calming lull,

I guess that I'm still regretting-

I am always regretting letting go of you.

The one I didn't see,

creeping by on my blind side

and passing me by.
