Something along those lines

Something along those lines

A Poem by Marina

I was walking, friendly smile,
Greets me from the other side.
I was, thinking, maybe lost,
Weighing rewards up against costs.

I recalled that, I told you,
the many things I wish to do.
And I remember you replied,
you only have one life.
Or something along those lines.

footsteps, marking where I've been,
painted image, windowsill.
I am just the audience,
as it all plays on by.

Then I told you, take it slow,
I was right, God didn't I know.
I gave you the same advice,
that you would give me this time.
or well, something along those lines.

If one day I'll open my eyes,
to find myself on the other side.
Will I then believe that here,
the grass is much too green,
much too green for me.

And will you tell me, I'll be fine,
or something along those lines.
Tell me something along those lines.
