The depths of my dance

The depths of my dance

A Poem by Marina

This is how my hunger dances
A habanera only to your eyes addressed
Desire's feet move to an increasing rhythm
Which finds it's origins inside your chest

Pleasant slow and careful movements
Encourage your soul to sway to mine's swing
Soon the tide increases overwhelmingly
The waves of a whisper sweeping you in

I take notice, abruptly, of what's begun to unfold
And my actions color me timid and shy
When I find myself relinquishing my heart
To a burning call of deep brown eyes

A dance of one, to two eyes addressed,
Now choreographed by your every next move
Feeling like Terpsichore, but subordinated,
To the very object of her pursuit
