Light and Dark

You are like the sun giving light
a link that connects us all together
a smile that forms in our lips
a special occasion to be celebrated

massive bird flew you somewhere far
pile of work awaits you there
days and months you shall wait
and soon you'll be here again

for now, darkness we will bear
broken lines and hungry mouths

foul words that hang in the air
judging eyes that melt souls

I won't let them take us down
ever standing tall and firm
conquer darkness and evil
in time, they shall fall.
