Goodnight sweet reality

Goodnight sweet reality

A Poem by Ama May Cooper

Now of with you to the land of the fallen

to the land of the silent mumbles

where secret angels dance the sky and paint the world with colour

where nothing hurts and feelings numb

and innocence becomes you

take your feet right up the stairs and brush the blankets smooth

snuggle deep into the warmth of covers gently holding your hands

close your eyes and blind reality

dabble into wishes

let them whisper heartless lies

upon your frozen frame

let yourself float gently down over night times silent frame

Off with you my dear sweet child

dream a better world

let colours dance behind your eyes

and forget the pain of everyday life

Just close your eyes and sleep my love

follow where the footstep go

over rainbow creak and dreamers lake

let your heart spin a tale without realitys harsh blade

let it free to feel no pain

Come now sweet child just close your eyes

the night will keep you safe

Charming but somehow painful expression of how it feels often... the desire top escape into the warm oblivion of the bed... Well structured and pretty good spelling, Cappi!! (But you might like to change 'Now of with you' to 'Now off with you'... I'd better run too!)
