With Love

This was written in ten minutes with a few tears shed in between.

It's probably too late to tell you how I feel,
It's not that important and it's not a big deal.
Before I was unable to express my emotion,
Only now am I ready to give you my love and devotion.
We have been friends for eight whole years,
And to have lost you to another only puts me to tears.
I am sorry for messing you around when you have given me time,
Now I am stuck here writing these feelings in a rhyme.
You are the only boy who has gotten what I am about,
And I regret for even a moment giving you doubt.
You love and accept me for who I am,
You ignore my flaws and you don't give a damn.
You look at the qualities that make me delightful,
And past the attributes which make me a bit frightful.
She makes you happy and that is all that matters,
But I cannot help but look and my entire heart shatters.
You deserve the best and I wish that upon you both,
I mean it with sincerity, you can take my oath.
I will always love you from the bottom of my heart,
It has taken me time to realize this since we have been apart.
I hope that one day life will bring us back together,
You are my one and only, you are my forever.
