bones

bones

A Poem by inclement weather

My heart is hungry
It aches with strong pains
In my chest down to my stomach.

My love is sick
It trembles and it hurts
It makes me weak, my chest starts to burn.

My bones are broken
When I walk they snap
Clickity-clacking through the night, with me I am bearing my broken bones .

The hunger in my heart grows
It feeds on the sickly meat of my love
My bones cave in and lock my love in a cage.

I can feel my heart now heavy
My love now empty
My bones still broken.

My heart has eaten.
My love has been nursed.
My bones are healed.

And I am no longer
The torn, sickly creature
I once was.
