Play Me My Lullaby Tonight

Please don't judge me haha, this is a song I wrote about Edward Cullen and its got a lot of dual meanings only twilight fans will get- "my own hell of green", "my favorite crooked smile", "hold me every time I stumble", "hear what goes unspoken", "kiss th

"

Play Me My Lullaby Tonight

I count the colors in your eyes

Coal black, golden honey, liquid topaz, butterscotch

You smile my favorite crooked smile

And I fall asleep while you watch

Transfixed by your perfect face

The words come out a jumble

So keep me in one piece

And hold me every time I stumble

CHORUS

My stone cold statue come to life

Frozen in time, forever seventeen

A piece of heaven in my own hell of green

You say I should be scared

But I can't feel the fright

So hold me as I sleep

And play me my lullaby tonight

You hear what goes unspoken

Fix me when I feel so broken

Your heart is silent and still

And every time I see your face

Mine skips a beat or two

Cold as ice, and skin so white

It sparkles and dances in the light

So I'll kiss the sun good bye

And happily hide

Under a blanket of clouds with you

CHORUS

My stone cold statue come to life

Frozen in time, forever seventeen

A piece of heaven in my own hell of green

You say I should be scared

But I can't feel the fright

So hold me as I sleep

And play me my lullaby tonight

Gentle words whispered velvet soft

A voice like melting honey

I can feel your sweet, cool breath

We'll seal it with the kiss of death

CHORUS

My stone cold statue come to life

Frozen in time, forever seventeen

A piece of heaven in my own hell of green

You say I should be scared

But I can't feel the fright

So hold me as I sleep

And play me my lullaby tonight

Play me my lullaby tonight...

Play me my lullaby tonight...

Play me my lullaby...

Tonight.

This is right up my alley. I love Twilight and literally everything about the books. You did an amazing job capturing everything. You are very talented.

sorry but Iam really starting to get Edward sick ,not that you wrote bad,I thought you did the best possible job with in the confines of the topic;still this vampire idol worship seems oblivious.I got all four parts ,its so common.....what's so wow about it.How can it be inspiring enough to write a poem on it...WAKE UP...It is not even a classic...just cheap, drab, fiction for selling purposes.MEANT NO HARM.I infact admire your courage to write on some thing insane and make it certainly readable....BELLA seems more non human than edward...How many girls fall in love with vamps, get run over by trucks, get close to being raped, feel dizzy every moment and get adored by three human males, one vampire and a werewolf.....

Though I am no longer an *ahem* forgive me, Edweird&Smella fan (bring on the Jake, though. XD), feel as if you've done a wee bit of hope for dear Eddie in my eyes with this poem. The way you described him is exactly how I felt of him when I first discovered the series. I really like these lines:
"You hear what goes unspoken
Fix me when I feel so broken
Your heart is silent and still
And every time I see your face
Mine skips a beat or two"
To me, the definition of the quintessential "first love" is embodied right there, and you've done a great job with the imagery.
Keep writing!
