Cheer up!

My friend is going through some very hard life changing circumstances, this poem is dedicated to her.

Sometimes in life we're faced with this pain.

But nothing should change you, those thoughts are insane.

You need to be happy, you need to move on.

You need to find comfort, you need to be strong.

I want you to know, there are people that care.

People that love you, with this I can swear.

We want you to live, be happy and free.

To be the real you, that's all you should be.

Don't hold in your pain, you must let it out.

Consult in your friends, our trust you can't doubt.

I want you to see, you need to be you.

You need to find comfort, in something you do.

Don't do this alone, trust me it's hard.

Have faith in a friend, just let down your guard.

I don't want to tell you, I know how you feel.

I just want your smile, my intentions are real.

A lovely poem containing wise and wonderful words of advice! The rhyme and meter are perfect, as is the message contained. I enjoyed the font style . . . the different sized words helped provoke a definite and meaningful impact.

You give your friend some very good advice, Simple man. The words of an old song go "No man is an island, no man stands alone." Of course "man" must mean "mankind," so it's not gender specific. We must "be there" for our friends and help them through their difficult times because the tables can turn in an instant.
