Thinking of You

 

As I lay alone here

I can still feel you in my arms.

My meaning seems so clear

When I succumb to your charms.

My arms may be empty tonight

But my thoughts are filled with your face;

Your eyes so deep and so bright.

I’m enthralled by your beauty and grace.

Though separated by space and time

You are ever present in my thoughts.

Two hearts drawn to be entwined,

In sublime music we are caught.

So I pen these words to bridge this span

Until I am again dazzled by your grin,

Feel the gentle caress of your soft hand,

And can hold you in my arms once again.
