The Closet in the Back of the Hall

The Closet in the Back of the Hall

A Poem by Waiting For My Rainbow
"

A short poem dedicated to my daughter, Rowan, who was stillborn at 36 weeks and 6 days.

"
The closet in the back of the hall,
Filled with a box of dreams for the life I made
Markers and crayons to paint the walls,
Card and board games we never played,
A pretty pink Urn ever so small,
Inside a pouch made of soft suede,
A pink Teddy as a cherished doll,
Along with strands of hair I was meant to braid.

A closet door I never open,
A box of dreams I can't stand to see.

About
My name is Casondra and I have a rather heavyhearted story. I haven't written in years but I'm going to use my story as motivation for my writing, also as a way to raise awareness for mental illness a.. more..
