Fill the spaces between my fingers

Fill the spaces between my fingers

A Poem by cassandra violet

When he speaks his lips sing,

and to his song my heart dances wildly,

it’s melody like those of morning birds,

the birds I wake for, that rise me from my bed.

The music flows like sensuous rivers,

Reminding me of the waters in which I like to play,

Excited by their constant change,

never knowing if the currents would be calm or strong,

but trusting that my feet will always be able to touch the bottom of those sparkling streams.

He flutters in my dreams, his soul the wings of a butterfly,

calling me to merge from my cocoon,

from the womb in which I hide,

His eyes pull me like a tide gently into a star-painted night,

And upon my exit I find his breath's caress teasing as I long to feel his flesh,

while his wings tickle as they brush against my chest.

I had never heard my heart hum until I felt your love,

The taste of your lust, its feel on my form,

Until the flutter of your eyes made my heart rise.

Some people will make us crazy with desire by seeing their face and hearing their voice. A beautiful poem. I like how you describe a emotion of being content. I like the complete poem. A perfect ending to a outstanding poem.
