![]() Fragments of your essenceA Poem by cassandra violetYour soul is blue like the water’s waves as they dance A playful ride of stand and sit, of calm and rage. The soothing of their wet caress showers me, Like the suns smile upon pores shivering from frown. Your innocence is the white of a gardenia Growing in my garden, new to blossom, Its peaking bud unaware of their radiance under the sun, Filled with the fire of youth, flames painted upon your petals. Your eyes are the gallop of a wild horse, Flying with freedom and curiosity as your spring quickens pace, eager to see the blade of every meadow, To feel each flow of wind. Your heart is a womb, a nest of warmth, Charged with thunder as you conceive passion, Letting it feed from your body, nourished by your fiber. Pulled down by the weight of the grow, but standing like a mountain. Your lips are wine, intoxicating me with their kiss As my tongue tingles from the taste of the aged summer grapes, The indulgence calming, but burning in my body, flaring urges that blur my sight as I’m sent into a different state of mind. It requires exhausting effort to look at you as whole, Each single feature erupts a dangerous yearning in my heart hard to handle, And I fear that I would not be able to pump such beats at the sight of you complete, But these thoughts are disposed as my sanity is lost to desire, to luminous lust. © 2010 cassandra violetReviews
