Mirror of the Moon

Mirror of the Moon

A Poem by cassandra violet

I rest underneath red leaves as they undress branches,

I feel my body quiver with desire for the color of the fire.

I stand on a mountain of snow that grows wildly with the wind,

Cool air soothes my soul sinking into my puzzled pores

As they experience the sensation and I forget the world I know,

Extinguishing the echo of my feet pacing city pavement,

The sound of car alarms, tires screeching, smog feasting

Instead I listen to the song of the setting,

The lyrics of birds as they whisper words of peace,

The rustling of leaves falling at their steams

To dance with my hair, my bare heart

As I draw its drapes and escape from society

resting with glass rivers, glimmering cool black ripples

That sway on the mirror of the moon

that glows stronger then the sun tonight.

I hate this part. This is the part where I try to tell you who I am, what I've been and what I want with every single last milimeter of blood dancing in my veins to become- the person who my heart bea.. more..
