EquilibriumA Poem by Chris Shawwe all need balance in our lives
cling to your emotional hurts
as though life depends on them at your loving heart's peril for nothing will be gained but misery within your own fragile harbour walls far better those hurts recede with ebb and flow of season's tides let them wash away, let them play in a bay of happiness with dolphins let them walk on a pebbled beach within reach of sunset cafe where a pumpkin latte served with dark chocolate almonds can lift the heaviest of doldrum spirits or alternatively build a fire in your mind's eye, let them burn let the ashes of your misery whirl with the wind of freedom dust to dust, let them be gone so the song of you shall be cleansed and inner peace restored amen
