Cross Road

Cross Road

A Poem by cathlyn

I feel like I'm standing in the middle of a cross road

Left alone to make my own decisions

The signs are all in strange code

I don’t even know my mission

Should I choose left?

Turn right instead?

Or stay bereft?

Make my bed?

Where do I go from here?

Will my choice be the right one?

Or will it be something I fear?

All these thoughts seem to weigh a ton

Should I leave it to chance?

Can I trust her enough to lead me true?

Or will I end up doing the death dance?

Can anyone give me a clue?

Years have passed

All have grown old

Time slithered fast

Yet, I’m still standing at a cross road
