Seasons Change

Seasons Change

A Poem by Cat

Blue eyes, searching the scene, watching, knowing, not looking for me.
I cross the room and get a glance,
To you, I never had a chance.
You look for a moment, until you remember.
I'm not the same girl I was in December.
Your smile fades as fast as the memories of that cold winter.
Where life was dull, but I was your winner.
Until Summer came and your eyes got bluer, you knew the fraud you had kept.
I was never special, you just left.
And just like that we became strangers,
over and through,
barely any changes.

I liked the honest thoughts and the tone of the words. Direct thoughts led the reader to love splendor in the Winter. Love cold in the Summer.
"I was never special, you just left.
And just like that we became strangers, "
Sometime people do fulfill places in the cold days of Winter. A powerful poem with a sad ending. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
