Midnight Shoreline

Midnight Shoreline

A Poem by catwriter
"

Search and you will find. Search inside and you'll find divinity.

"
I've never seen some guy in the sky
But do believe in God
That sacred spark who dreamed of us
And all we're dreaming of.
We wander, fools across the earth
Wondering what to do.
For some it's power, some it's wealth
While many are confused.
For some it's constant suffering
And bliss for blessed few.
We all have our own stories.
We all have traveled far.
But once we try to understand
Who is that soul we are,
We stand on midnight shorelines
Staring at the stars.
The expanse will make you humble.
The pit will make you blind.
Arriving on that midnight shore
With all you've left behind,
Staring at the galaxies
Will teach you to be kind.
We stand on midnight shorelines
Staring at the stars
Where desperation dissipates
And God is what we are.
