Song of Suffering

The suffering of the soul is a twisted wonderful sound in the background of ones day to day life. It plays its melody as if to remind us to never take anything for granted. 
In the moments of joy the song of sadness in still there, quietly playing, almost the lullaby of a harp, as if to whisper softly that even our greatest moments can't last forever. 
In the moments of true agony it takes over in full chaotic overture, drowning out even the loudest love song. 
It is by this internal disquietude we learn to measure true happiness. We can not learn to appreciate the heavenly hum of the harp without knowing of the deafening clamor of the entire orchestra.
