The Spa

The Spa

A Poem by Christine
"

Musings one day in the spa.

The Spa

Overhead lights mark columns on the water

Down which elderly women make their stately way

Slowly up and down, up and down

Sporting latex crowns in black and gold

And expressions of grim determination

The Monarchs of the pool

This is very good. As Lydia says, wonderful imagery, it painted the picture so clearly in my mind.

I could picture older women swimming laps in the lanes of an indoor pool as I read your words. Wonderful imagery! Lydi**
