Who am I

Who am I

A Poem by Cece

Look at me now
You may not see
Who I really am
You never knew me

You only see the beauty
It is only a mask which to fool
Who am I really
You don’t know me

I hide behind the mask
For those I don’t know
I pretend I’m someone else
Who am I inside

I must be secret inside
Forced to hide
From those I don’t know
So I may be free to fly

I like the idea of going against judging the book by its cover. I must say its sad that you don't feel like you can be you. Its such an oppressing feelings to suppress the thoughts, emotions, and averything else that makes you, you.. for someone who's opinion is worth just that, its their opinion and everyone is entitled to them, but we shouldn't live by them.

fly free beautiful!, fly free! I would definitely like to see an addition to this poem, of who u are.. unless of course it was intended to just get the point across, if thats the case WELL DONE!

much love n' respect

I really enjoyed this. Is doesn't flow as easily as poems usually do but that is personal opinion and easily editted. I was confused whether some of the sentences were questions or statements, also. All in all, you had all the emotion you need for a good poem.

keep up the good work!

We all adopt some disguise in self defence but when we allow another to see us as we really are we gamble on their understanding I enjoyed your poetic prose
