CONNECTIONS

CONNECTIONS

A Poem by An owl on the moon
"

Words are words… and so much more...

"

Words are words

and letters linger

on light lit pages

dark places of the mind

glowing on lines

wanting release

cavernous peace

emotional fragments

shared and nurtured

they would realize

words link subtle minds

lock in pieces

making connections

fractured recollections

she’ll pick his lock

watch the clock

tick tock taps

the door now open

and in it a fire

how warm the burn

emotions never spurned

voices in her head

just words

his wording expressions

encased in letters

link linked

through distance not mentioned

words are words

and letters linger

their stroking fingers

create a world

not near intentioned

product of their invention

because she spoke

with tick tock taps

and he listened

with his eyes…

Interesting write - the spell words can weave around people...

"dark places of the mind / glowing on lines". - I love that line - writing can release the deepest thoughts or actions or feelings of a person...things sometimes they wouldn't make known face to face...

I enjoyed reading this. Really amazing writing and photo.

i love this.. love is what i get from this.. i could be off base here but that is what i get. tick tock taps.. sounds like a typewriter to me.. at any rate it flows & i love it!

I think there are many of us who can relate to this kind of relationship - conducted through the tap of fingers on keyboard while eyes anxiously wait to consume the words sent from distances unmentioned. Those final 4 lines are bitter sweet and painfully pleasurable.

How did you make this font? I LOVE IT.

Oh and the poem, well it was visually amazing. I love the onomatopoeia you snuck in there. Great! Great! oh...did I mention Great?

It flows quite beautifully... these words are carefully crafted and tenderly woven. Great job.

Really liked the repetition- I think that perhaps the flow would benefit from some punctuation, but otherwise, this was very nicely done. Great job. :)
