"Now I take her into me
share my book with her
until we know
can read each glance
each whisper
each touch…"
Poetical Prowess!!! This was fantastic! From the subtle flow to the image at the beginning to set the mood of the piece....you crafted an intelligently phrased piece. The type so delicately thought of that i cannot help but be enthralled in the book (pun intended) :)
This is such a sweet telling of awareness and familiarity....what a simple sentiment to know someone so deeply, and be totally engrossed by them. Romantic sweep of pages here.
And I read with such abandon
across her pages
my fingers trailing
her soft paper skin…
Love it Craig...

One of my favorites by you! "And I read with such abandon across her pages My fingers trailing her paper soft skin" favorite line not only romantic but very delicate, sensual, and I loved getting a visual if the parallels of a book's pages and the skin of a body.
Great job.

So good to see you by, Meliss@k! Thank you so much!
You are the king of metaphor and imagery in this piece. Yes a woman is a book...her story waiting to be read. She will take you on a journey into the depths of her soul. Better hold on tight..sometimes its a bumpy ride. Lol... brilliant writing!!
These words are so powerful, yet gentle and sensual all at the same time. The beauty of one's mind, wrapped into a book... Gorgeous metaphor, built impeccably.

You've exquisitely combined the sensual with the sexual with the soulful.
My only comment is that the "scent of vanilla" seems a little out of the blue, and unrelated to the rest of the wonderful poem.
A beautiful read.

This is such a beautiful and amazing tribute to a woman. One of the best I ever came across! Your pen creates such magical visions!
"In her sighs
she speaks of
stories and sonnets
history and fantasy" - priceless poetry here!

What an amazing write. Each of us is a book. We are stories. Some are good, some are bad, some sad. But this is brilliant. A romantic poem like no other I've read. Thanks for sharing

"There are only four questions of value in life...
What is sacred?
Of what is the spirit made?
What is worth living for..
and what is worth dying for?
The answer to each is the same:
