Remember Childhood

Remember Childhood

A Poem by Tenten

Do you remember your childhood?

The free feel of laughing and playing

Without rhyme or reason

The happiness that bubbled

At the sight of butterflies and caterpillars

Games of tag and mother may I

Soccer in the streets

Sneaking out past bed time

To play inside the alley ways and trees

It was ok to cry to smile to laugh

Because the stones hurt your bare feet

Because the wind picked at your hair

Because the sun was shining and there was breath!

The times when the stars where a mystery

The moment when money meant nothing

The days when friends and family where all that was required

Before stuff and girls and boys and judgment existed

Do you remember your childhood?

Tell the truth

Do you remember childhood?

Do you remember no limitations?

Do you remember playing?
