A Poem by Chad Halle

chewin on nicotine
gum, sippin on
wine from a water
bottle. hightened
senses, burning
face, burning
throat. cold, i'm
cold. loud,
everything is
loud. pull my
hair, tug
at my ear- not
too much, it has
been peeling
lately. might go for
a drive, pick up
a handful
of pills.
