I Would Steal You an Entire Solar System

I Would Steal You an Entire Solar System

A Poem by checkianout

What is time?
But additional opportunity for suffering
Suffocating beneath these tides

A world without sun and crimson skies
Where men empathize with sin

Would you wear my skin like a boy scout badge?
Beautiful, but not in the conventional sense

I am stuck
I am fractured
I am a piece of s**t
But I'm still here

An important but necessary procedure to extract my lower half so I couldn't crawl back.

Your nectar has formed an unusual taste
Let me vomit this paste in your ear so you can understand the scope of my grief

Allow me to retreat, to retract my mistakes

& I will respect your request for space
In addition to this earth and everything it contains

It's what you deserve.

I think you did a great job with your use of words and phrases. You portray a genuine grief because of a mistake (or mistakes) made against another person and now that person is distancing themselves because they are angry or disappointed

Time is perspective my friend. You'll have a new one and you'll write of stealing a solar system so that your love can contain all the beauty in the universe. Sad but well crafted. You're getting there homie!

I can't wait to be able to write something about indifference. This s**t is exhausting.
