Consequences

Consequences

A Poem by Jeddie

Consequences

Actions reek consequences,

Mutually trivial or immense,

Consequences are aftermath,

The evaluation of actions,

 Made the right decision?

Actions speak louder than words,

My body is screaming at you!

But you could not love something,

I do not in turn Love!

So not having you is my consequence?!

What goes around comes around,

So what have I given around?

What have I passed that means I suffer,

Suffer unbearable pain

My heart aching, breaking!

I do not publicise personal consequences,

I just tuck them inside,

Dark inside where I gasp for air,

The real me hoping, anticipating,

This charade I play doesn’t compare!

So when I taste the bitter poison,

That unravels my resistant tongue,

Threat waits in play,

I am that threat!

I am an immense consequence,

Willing to take the risk?
