How the World Fell Apart

How the World Fell Apart

A Poem by Chelsea

It's when the light turns to dusk
And dusk turns to light
It's when the wind won't blow
And when all facts become unknown
It's when time stops
And when rain turns into waves and rises
As the sky comes crashing down
It's when mountains replace skies
It's when day becomes dull and dark
And when night is warm and light
It's when thunder flashes
And lightening sounds loud
It's when leafs come down like thunder
As it slips slowly to the ground
It's when people can't make noise
And animals can
It's when no one lives
But can't die
It's when preachers lie
And when people can't shed tears
It's when there are no shooting stars left
And all stars fall to the ground and disappear
It's when the world stops spinning
When you said goodbye
And you disappeared
It's when I slipped farther away from you
And it's when I started to cry
And that's when the world fell apart
