leave

events inspired me

Waiting on my lover's return. 

waiting for a sound.

waiting on a certain familiar face to keep me warm.

waiting for his embrace

waiting for his kisses

waiting, just to see if he would save me

waiting just to see if he cared enough to talk

waiting is all I can do at this point. 

He left without saying good bye

he left without saying a word

moving in the shadows of my memories forever not returned

he left a piece of me behind, broken hearted, memories.

I could not fix. 

If he does come back to claim he "loved" me. 

all I ask from him is to leave again.

being emotionally dependent sucks i know it all to well, and i'm glad you realize if they do finally come back you won't be let them back that easy. sad to get dissed like that...but good poem
