Elton John,

 You are one that

I am indifferent to as a person,

But as an artist I stand in awe

Of your marvelous

Body of work.

 

Your poetic lyrics

And powerful songs

Force me to cry.

 

They move my heart

And open my eyes

To all that

I feel inside.

 

Your songs

Make me feel

More alive!

 

When I listen to your

Echoing voice and how it

Moves me through song,

I want to bow my head and

Kneel at your feet,

Despite however your

Character is wrong

to me.

 

To my ears and

To my heart,

You’ll always be the

King of Song,

Elton John.

Author's Note

I've always loved Elton John's music. I went to his concert one year and he shoved one of his pianos off of the stage. Since then, I've never been a big fan of his character.
But his music and lyrics are so moving to me. In my opinion, he is one of the best artists on the planet!

He indeed is an inspiring artist. I enjoy so much
of his music. Shoving a piano off stage would have
bothered me, too, but no different then a guitarist
smashing his guitar (though stupid). Instruments should
be treated like an angel; instruments are magical, have soul.
