On The RunA Poem by Marie HarrisonA poem about running from yourself.
On The Run Every day I long to know myself, To know what it is that I run from When I read a book or Watch television. What am I trying to escape from? How long will I have to run Before I decide to look myself In the eye and stop hiding? I’m ready to infest myself In the bloody gore of who I am, I’m ready to explore who this Girl is that I keep running from. It’s her that I want to know more, Not the boy next door.
