Nothing Grew

Nothing Grew

A Poem by Marie Harrison
"

A poem about a date.

"

Nothing Grew

Laughter broke the conversation.

Wine poured freely.

Lips smiled, feet walked, eyes shined.

Lips brushed, bodies hugged,

yet no sparks flew.

Wow. Very well done, you've portrayed something huge in just a few words. Very nice.

Love this! So simple, so perfect. The only thing I would consider changing is "Wine poured freely". I know it's blasphemous to add in "was"es and whatnot, but I think it might help in there.
Great piece. :)
