For Years For Me

You loved

Toasts you made

Many of my family's caskets you carried

Rules you broke

Stories you told

Dishes you washed

Beds you made

Seats you saved

Jokes you told

Smiles you flashed

Hands you shook

Games you played

Hours you danced

Concerts you rocked

Tears you cried

Lips you kissed

Curves you touched

Coins you tossed

Wishes you made

Dogs you slept with

Many miles you drove

Many miles you flew

Burnt meals you ate

All to be with me

Thank you

This was very heartwarming. At the begining I couldn't see what it was leading to unitll the last two lines.

Aw, you can feel the love in this poem. It's an amazing thing...love. Be lucky you have it. Some people never get to experience it. I count myself lucky everyday for the friends, family, and my husband and kids. Great write :) Thank you for sharing such a lovely poem.

Aw, the gratitude in this is so sweet, love it. Nicely worded and I like how it's set out, kinda of like a list of things to do, which is very interesting and ties in with the context well, good job~
