Computer compadres

Amigos sharing our angst

Exchanging our life stories and dreams

Overtime developing

A meaningful friendship

Had to leave for a few months

To attend to important life responsibilities

Creating life shifting changes in my life

Came back to write and

Share in this friendship again

Found myself

Mysteriously blocked

Paper thin friendship

One that blows with the wind

I really like this piece. It's definitely an accurate read on todays social interaction. You see it most on facebook/twitter/social networking sites. People are more about quantity than quality. The more friends they aquire the happier they are... but are they really happy? Maybe on the surface, I suppose.

I liked this because of the truths behind it. Since establishing myself on a couple of sites, poetry and short stories, I've discovered there are a lot of people who are desperate to be cyber-involved with someone. This is an excellent reflection of that syndrome.

Sometime hard to really relate to a cyber relationship, yet many exist and can last for many years, either just as a friendship or a romance.....but like real life they can both hurt, but if youre lucky can grow into something beyond all belief......Enjoyed :O)
