Calamity's Fear

Calamity's Fear

A Poem by chocolate_addict

Reflected in her eyes against the pool of anguish.

Have you seen the day rise and damn the night?

Her shattered soul lies on your floor.

Take it with the heart you wear.

The battle has broken the doors.

The war has lost the way.

Her hair shadows her eyes and you do not see.

What it has done.

Her salvation only fears its end.

Made in her fire against the open sky.

Have you seen the night shroud and foil the day?

Her impulsive will beats on your floor.

Take it with the fist you wear.

The battle has eaten your conscience.

The war has died in wake of sleep.

Her hands cover her mouth and you do not hear.

What it has done.

Her calamity only fears its beginning.

Such intensity. Well written and defined perfectly. Reminds me a bit of my piece "Defensive Positions". Kudos.
