Nothing in the World

Nothing in the World

A Poem by chocolate_addict
"

"...Our emotions are fickle things left behind us, dreary and soaked with unsatisfactory indulgence..."

"

Let’s raid the dwelling of our dreams,

and steal the deadly sweet convections of the hidden places.

Our emotions are fickle things left behind us,

dreary and soaked with unsatisfactory indulgence.

Nothing in the world.
Nothing in the world can hurt us.

The lightness about our feet provokes our wild steps.

We laugh and chatter at the horror behind their eyes,

when they see the mischief quite obviously forbidden.

Fear does not accompany sin
when young minds are left without boundary.

Nothing in the world.
Nothing in the world can hurt us.

The saturation of our hearts evokes our rushed passion.

We roam in the fantasy of our touch,
suddenly want of reality for tangible convections now.

Our amplifying agitation moves into cold hysteria,

and the veil before our eyes withers in the face of harsh realism.

Nothing in the world.

Nothing in the world can harm us.

The glaring truth provokes our brutal fights.

Your hardened stoic expression,
makes mockery of my once forgotten fickle emotions.

My distrusting cruel eyes,

play love games with your once clear understanding mind.

Nothing in the world.

Nothing in the world can harm us but ourselves.

Fun sized candy is a joke. What is so fun about less candy than a normal candy bar? I am a perfectionist. Writing began for me as a way to express feelings and unexplained desires for literature a.. more..
