Half-Whole Apples

Half-Whole Apples

A Poem by Moon

Apples beneath the shade of an orchard,
Green and red bursts -- from the dark; dark that
Bears them in the hands of the orchard; I
Was sat in the shade and recall as well.
On the grass - some full, some half-eaten; but
Most were fully-eaten.  Fully-eaten
In the light of green and red bursts.  Fully
-Eaten where the light - lights on hands of the
Orchard; and fully-eaten in the light
Of full and half-eaten apples.  Fully
-Eaten as you joined me in the shade and
Ate apples.  We were not long in the shade
Of the orchard.  Not long between green and
Red bursts -- in the dark.  Not long in the shade
Of full and half-eaten apples; not long
-- As if when we turned to see apples
Half-whole again.  Do you recall as well?
