A Daisy Infinity

A Daisy Infinity

A Poem by Moon

There is a place where the grass imposes,
And stretched beside it, all shaded and grey,
From each tree, each leaf and bed of roses,
a foot-path I knew ran around that way;
Where many a passer-by had passed by,
And some close, since their voices I'd heard clear,
Talk of boughs and rabbits and roses shy,
Oh! how green the grass was that time of year!
My hair it was fair and my clothes sharp - no!
For sure, I was green as the sky is blue,
And though counting knots and subtleties gold,
I was taken for hill and grassy hue;
As the tall grass laughed and the daises rolled,
If they could see daisies there, but I knew.
