homo sapien

a small poem, it follows a now common theme. playing around with a different kinda structure. comments and criticism always appreciated! :)

 

Screw this land,

We partake of its flesh

Violently we suck

Like parasites, or bought lovers.

Take but never give, to give is to be considered weak.

“I never cried when I saw her body”

It was just a shell to me.

An expendable part of the universe.

powerful imagery here. ...like bought lovers... is a great phrase, has a connotation all its own. too many of us take for granted that what we are doing is okay and will have no far reaching outcomes. we all need to heed the words in this write. nicely done.
