My body is your kingdom (Her Voice)

Love can move mountain but this opposite, sometimes we have to set someone free, in the name of love

 Tomorrow before dawn we’ll say goodbye

To a love so true, encrusted with lies

 

Our plea’s so loud that they couldn't hear

Our heart’s so clear, they can’t see it’s real

 

Your kiss is the future I want to have

Loving you is the only art I can do with my heart

 

Now kiss me, you’re my owner

Kiss me hard, before us apart forever

 

For you are the King and I am the Queen

But our kingdom is not the same

 

But for tonight, the eye of justice is asleep

So even just one night, let’s taste the rapture of happiness

 

Now as dawn brings darkness, don’t shed a tear

It won’t be heard, so don’t utter a prayer

 

As I walk down in the solemn isle of my burial ground

I’ll forever listen to your footstep’s fading sound

 

 

 

 

Let’s not wish a dream that can’t come true

It’ll only pain us to desire a fairy tale of me and you

 

For as the priest lock me in the sacred curse

I’ll forever bleed without touching the thorns

 

We fought hard so don’t be sorry, we just can’t win over our own destiny

For you're a kingdom given to me, a kingdom I’m not allowed to reign until eternity

This poem is a response of Marc Marlon Villaflor's My Body Is Your Kingdom and I am sincerely thankful for him because he allowed me to write one. I know this ain't a really good one, but I'm satisfied :) Please feel free to leave any kind of comments, it's greatly appreciated.

I don't know, but I was very fascinated by his poem and I can't help but hear the girl's voice while re-reading his poem over and over. And so I decided to write it down.

To Marc, thank you so much for being generous. Also, thanks for suggesting to use your own title. That saved me from thinking one.
