This That I Fear

This That I Fear

A Poem by Kaden Elias Sylvers

But what is it, that I fear,

my cold reflection in the

windowsill looks frightenly

like her, like someone she could

like, but what is it, this fear,

in my eyes, in my heart,

shaking my world, in everything

I do, it’s coming down to this,

how much would I risk to be

with her, but what is it, that I fear,

how important is she, I must ask myself,

but what is it, this answer I fear, that

she is everything to me, she is my muse,

and I feel so empty inside, however

cliché that is, cliché it is, but she

is anything but cliché, but what is it,

that I fear, oh I fear, but I must

banish my fear, must not be a coward,

must release myself, must seek her out,

or else she will never know, my passion

for her will remain invisible, secret, unknown,

unreal, but what is it, that I fear, I fear,

that my world will be torn apart, existance

so fragile, will dissapear, and what is this,

that I fear, that I must banish, this that I fear.
