Holding OnA Poem by Chong N. KimIt's about holding on in recovery from pain, addiction, loss and even our own victimization.Holding On Your life is hanging by a thread; Only change in your pockets, You're in despair, Kneeling down to pray, Close your eyes, Hold on to that last breath, Nothing is ever easy and the risk
is worth everything... Once the drugs have departed your
body and mind Yearning for intoxication As you long for your next break, You try so hard yet its not enough; Having arrived in a cold dark hotel
room, Just hold on a little longer
for it may not seem so bad; Accept the new change that will allow
your heart to feel, once again; a love that only you can possess. By: Chong N. Kim © 2012 Chong N. Kim |
