Kite

Kite

A Poem by Cassidy Mask

Fly me away

On the back of

Your kite

Take me to where the sea meets

The sky

Take me to the edge of the world.

Fly me

Away

Far, far away

To where

Life is meaningless

And nobody cares.

Fly me to heaven

On the back of your kite

Through the clouds

To where the sun

Sits

On a bed of daisies.

Take me to a place

Lost in time

Where the wind

Ripples the water

And the waves

Splash

Hard against my face.

I will fly on my kite

Till the end of the world

And longer

Into the future and

Back to the past

My kite will go

Me on its back

Whispering

To it as the wind

Ruffles its tail.
