The Darkness

The Darkness

A Poem by Cassidy Mask

The Darkness held me

Tendrils of spite

Gripping my soul

The Darkness tore me

Blades of hatred

Slitting my wrists

The Darkness stole me

Blinds of malice

Screening my view

The Darkness broke me

Weapons of ruin

Snapping my resolve

The Darkness filled me

Waves of remorse

Drowning my hope

The Darkness had me

I was lost...
