Living like Thieves

Living like Thieves

A Poem by Cassidy Mask

We’re living like Thieves

Stealing the night as it falls

Running on roads made of stars

Hiding from the breaking dawn

We’re living like Thieves

Sitting on thrones made of bone

Singing the daylight to sleep

Watching creeping shadows

We’re living like Thieves

Spilling our enemies blood

Holding the moon in our palms

Learning to be invisible

We’re living like Thieves

Drowning in streams of deceit

Swearing at the rising sun

Living our lives in the dark

We’re living like Thieves

Dying like Kings
